We caught up with WorldTour riders Koen de Kort of Giant Alpecin, Thomas De Gendt of Lotto Belisol, and Gediminas Bagdonas of AG2R La Mondiale to find out what pro riders get up to in their off-season.
Koen De Kort (Giant Alpecin)
Koen went on a much-awaited honeymoon after getting married way back in August. Koen and his wife had to delay their honeymoon until the end of the season, but once the last race of the season was over, the new Mr and Mrs. De Kort went to the Maldives to enjoy some down time.
Thomas De Gendt (Lotto Belisol)
Thomas' plans were put on hold while he and his wife were awaiting the arrival of their second baby. Thomas' wife was due at the end of October, but the baby was on its own schedule and arrived late.
Gediminas Bagdonas (AG2R La Mondiale)
Gediminas had some R&R and spent time fishing, but quickly got things back on track and began to focus on the 2016 season.
Gediminas began running - which is almost unheard of from pro cyclists - and spent time in the gym, developing his strength and resilience with big things in mind for 2016.
